Year-Round Traction
For an extra measure of surefootedness, STS offers an available all-wheel-drive (AWD) system. In normal driving, it sends 40 percent of engine torque to the front wheels and 60 percent to the rear, for a feeling akin to riding on rails. When traction is reduced, the system automatically redistributes torque to the wheel(s) with grip to help keep you moving.
Refined Power
Performance that's both thrilling and refined is an STS hallmark. STS V6 features a new 302 hp 3.6L DOHC V6 with advanced Spark Ignition Direct Injection (SIDI). STS V8 is powered by Cadillac's renowned 320 hp 4.6L Northstar V8. For those who insist on the ultimate in performance, STS-V's Supercharged 4.4L Northstar V8 generates 469 hp and 439 lb.-ft. of torque.
Track-Tuned Handling
STS's rewarding road manners began with a rigid, computer-designed body structure and a sophisticated fully independent suspension with standard StabiliTrak™. Then the engineers tuned and retuned the car's chassis during lap after lap at Germany's legendary Nürburgring racetrack. While en route and over 250 kilometres from original point of departure, you may qualify for Trip Interruption Protection. General Motors of Canada may reimburse you for reasonable hotel, meal and alternative transportation expenses incurred should your trip be interrupted by a warranty repair covered under the Base Warranty period.
